GEDCOM export problem

Has anyone else had problems recently exporting their gedcom file? I have been doing this regularly for the last 15 years, to keep an offline backup copy. Last time was in July, but I tried last week and again today. Same procedure, seemed to work as usual, but no email arrived. I have tried again today with a different email address but same result (i.e. no gedcom exported). Genesreunited support haven't fixed the problem or suggested any workaround. Would be interested to know if anyone has a workaround. I've made a few updates since July and really need to take a backup. I've stayed a loyal Genesreunited user for many years because it has been one of the most stable and user-friendly sites, but this problem has shaken my confidence and my trust in their ability to continue delivering the goods. :-|

Whilst I can’t answer your question this problem has arisen quite a lot on the Genealogy chat board.

Thanks. I wasn't sure whch board would be best to post this, so I chose the one that seems to have the most traffic - and thus the largest number of people who might have faced the same problem (and might know of a workaround)
