I am thinking of doing the DNA the reason being is my father told me I had a half brother I wasn’t interested at the time but I am now this would of been before he met my mum now if I was to do DNA I don’t have my tree on line would it come up with a link if for instance he had done a dna or his children had? I don’t even have a name ? |

As long as the half brother or his descendants had taken a test with the same company it would be listed as a match to you. |

Thankyou so you don’t need to put your tree up? |

Whichever company you have the test with and upload the data, the number of units you match with another person will indicate the relationship, but not necessarily which parent it's with. |

Ancestry indicate that the match relates to parent 1 or 2. You have to decide which is which. |
