Woken at 3a.m. Torrential rain had badly flooded the garden so was paddling about

trying to make sure the studio/shed didn’t flood and that the house was safe :-( :-(

Hello

Hope you are all well and safe.

I can confirm it is a bit wet! :-S

There are huge puddles in the road.

There are also road works in progress which is slowing up the traffic a lot.
There is little point in getting angry and swearing at each other.

A large rat has run amok in the rubbish bin and one of the neighbours
has put out a huge trap. Meanwhile, the residents are terrified of using it.

Thank you everything is ok at the moment but having put sand bags out at silly

o’clock in the dark it’s difficult to check everything.

The problem was all the water that was not only coming up through the surface water

drains but also the sewer pipes. Lifting all the manhole covers :-0 :-0.

Now the council are responsible for the surface water but Thames water is responsible

for the sewers. I won’t hold my breath for a resolution :-| :-| :-|

Fortunately the house was dry so I’m very grateful for that but did keep checking ;-)

Ann I hope you will feel better soon. A duvet day is the best plan <3 <3
