One of my doggie walking friends said she got a slip put in her letter box from royal mail to say that there were two pieces of mail at the sorting office that didn't have the correct postage. She went to collect them and they wanted £5 each before they would give them to her....she asked to look at them and they were both circular letters....she told them to bin them :-| :-| |

She said on the slip you could pay online and they would be delivered with her normal post. She is so pleased she didn't go down that route ...£10 for circulars :-| :-| |

It has been going that way for a long time Fly…gone are the days they climbed mountains to deliver…..they put your post in anyones box to ge rid of it..and we get mail for others on a regular basis :-| |

My SiL at Xmas put 3 cards into one envelope and when it arrived there was only the one card in the envelope....looks like someone thought there might have been something else in the envelope worth nicking:-| :-| |

A few years ago there was a piece in the local rag about a postman they took on for Christmas. He got fed up with all the cards etc. he dumped them in the canal. :-0 :-0 |
