MG…I was helping someone to do their family research and came across a death in Liverpool that I was curious about….the child being 8 years old. I found a piece in the local paper describing how she was getting ready for school and tending her siblings when her clothing caught fire…..she ran out in to the street where neighbours tried to put out the glames…she died several hours later :-( :-( |

We had some big metal contraption. With doors at the front, and a drawer at the bottom to collect the ashes. It burned coke. |

Think we got central heating when I was about 10 perhaps a bit older.....but that was coal with a back boiler :-0 Having to go out to fill the coal scuttle from the coal bunker outside :-D |
