It was used as a treatment for various conditions such as acne, was stopped around the 1960s.

Can't say I remember a programme about that ZZzzz . Was it factual or drama ? I used to like science fiction tv/films but if saw them now would think what a load of rubbish.lol

Don't know about a programme but OH had to do this in the fifties, but I don't think it was down to lack of sun.

That remembers a programme on the telly many years ago, possibly 1970s about school children standing in front of a sun ray lamp to get the rays because there was no natural sun, or did I imagine it?
