If an MP has been expelled from a Political Party then surely they are no longer an MP? Can they just say as from now I am an Independent MP and will continue to serve my Constituency? |

They have been elected. Plenty of MPs have switched parties in the past, although most have not been expelled from the original party. Some have even formed a new party altogether, like the Lib/Dems, but they are still MPs. |
