We're having a family gathering, and my 21 year old grand daughter said she'd be bringing 'shotgun' sausage rolls.
I asked what 'shotgun' sausage rolls were
Her mum replied - handmade, and asked if I hadn't heard that expression before.
'No' I replied. As an old f&rt, I'd only heard of 'shotgun' weddings.

Grand daughter repied'You're not quite an old f&rt yet. maybe a toot'. :-D <3

I had to point out, she's never been with me, when Im on my own :-S :-D :-D :-D

I have only ever heard shotgun wedding as well so you are not on your own. :-D :-D

Being me, I just had to Google, as I'd never heard of them before.

What I found was that shotgun sausage rolls are made with wide round pasta, manicotti shells were the most mentioned. Plus being smoked!

From 1 recipe:----

Shotgun shells recipe features zesty ground beef, sausage, and cheese filling stuffed into manicotti, wrapped in bacon and oven baked
