It has all been said by MTG, Belle and Linda.
Annabelle deserves a prize all her own. But I think she has already won it. she has had such a lovely time after being so sad, nothing can take that away from her. Of course it would be wonderful for her to win but, sadly, I don't think they will happen. I am not sure who will win, Layton is way ahead on points at the moment but it may be the majority of the public don't want him to win. I have to say, ignoring the actual competition, if I had just been watching them dance that Charleston I would have loved it. But it was two professionals doing it. I didn't like his rumba and I didn't like Craig's performance either.

Loved Ellie as usual she is now such a lovely dancer, very entertaining.

Bobbie was really good, he has come so far.

Who knows how it will work out.
I do hope that next year they will rule out anybody who actually works as a professional dancer.

So sad to see Annabel go :-(. She was so composed and gracious in her defeat <3

Poor Jo Jo was so overcome, I did shed a tear <3. He had obviously been welcomed into Annabel's family with open arms <3 They have a friendship for life <3 <3

Yes it was sad, as always when somebody goes so close to the final but I think of the two it was the right decision. I think, for her, the experience and her friendship with Jo Jo is a better prize than the glitter ball. She has got her life back. And I was pleased for Bobby.

I think we all knew the outcome of the dance off. It was a shame for Annabel but she has come so far. <3

I hope they have a shake up next year, and it comes back on an even playing field, I fear it will lose its audience if it does not. :-(

The finale is tonight, and I will be watching it out of habit, not for the excitement!

I don't think Layton will win because of all the controversy of his participation :-0

Not sure how people are chosen for the Show whether they are approached or they ask :-0. Whichever way the blame lays solely with The Beeb. The Beeb were either wrong to approach him or if he asked they should have said 'no' because you are too experienced :-0

Also, I would like to know how many public votes there were for each individual, especially last week :-0

I too think they should give out the number of public votes, if only in the latter weeks. The very way that they won't makes us 'smell a rat'.

In a way I feel sorry for Layton, he probably went on the show in good faith and to be fair, even he has improved in some of his dances. It is not really his fault and he is getting a lot of hate mail. I think Ellie has to be favourite, but who knows?

I think Ellie will win, she deserves to and zi think the public are on her side.

I have absolutely nothing against Layton, I really dont know anything about him. He is a very good dancer.

I think we have all expressed our displeasure with the Beeb.

I was pleased Ellie won. I think my OH got it right when he said that she does more of the ordinary dancing in the classical way it should be done whereas everything Layton did was like a show dance

I too was pleased that Ellie won. I must say I thought Bobby also danced really well

and improved immensely on last week. I thought Layton also danced well but there

again he is a professional dancer. All in all a really good ending to the series :-D :-D

I too thought Bobbie had improved his opening Salsa was excellent :-)

I did wonder whether Ellie might have thrown it away with her Show Dance too many lifts and the last lift wasn't quite right :-0. She was trying too hard :-0. However, her American Smooth was Fab-u-lous, I liked it when she danced it originally but it was even better this time around, if that was possible :-D

Ellie and Vito were worthy winners but huge congrats to the other two finalists who made it a very entertaining evening :-D

I think we are all happy little bunnies this morning. :-D

Bobbie was tremendous with his dances, and it is a pity there could not have been a tie decision.

Ellie deserved to win, and it proves that hard work wins through.

Shame about the lift at the end of her dance, but what did it matter in the end.

Layton danced his socks off, but he has had years of practice as opposed to the other two. Nothing taken away from him, but yes, I felt that all his dances could have been set pieces from a film, rather than the original concept of Strictly, people learning to dance.

I do hope the Beeb buck their ideas up for next year, and go back to the original format of the show.

Christmas Day will have a Strictly Special, so one more show to get a numb bum to. :-D

It was a very entertaining programme last night. all the dances were great to watch and it was hard to guess which way the votes would go. and of course with the voters there were going to be an element of Coronation Street Versus East Enders. I was so pleased Ellie won and I loved her reaction.
Linda I think your OH's comment is right. that was where Layton differed from the other two but have to say he was great to watch, agree with Belle about his Argentine Tango. Several of the professional dancers have stage shows these days. I think those two could well do the same.

Well done Ellie, but Also well done Bobby, I wonder what those two will do with their careers now? Not sure they will be returning to soap acting. Although Ellie is actually not in anything at the moment.

Just watched the Christmas edition of Strictly. I think that is one hour of my life I will not get back. :-0

All but two of the contestants were employed by the Beeb. I thought the marking was way over the top. And the winner was employed by the Beeb. Doesnt really sit well with me. But then again, what do I know?

Please, let someone have a word in the producers ears, and put the programme back to basics, less shouting and screaming, and a more balanced marking system. Oh,yes, one last request, dancers who have no or little experience. Thank you!
