I have a compost bin, where I obviously put grass cuttings, and things like potato peel, cucumber skin etc.
Now, this has 2 small doors at the bottom, one at the front, one at the back.
Neither of these doors stay shut.

A couple of weeks ago, I went out to put some peelings in it, and something moved :-0
Obviously, I thought I had rats, so stopped putting the peelings etc in there.

Today, I decided enough was enough, and I'd duct tape the doors shut.
Out I go, full of determination. I remove the brick from the top (stops the lid flying away in the wind.), and hear movement.

I carefully lift the lid - and a HUUUGE







CAT comes flying out!
Obviously, I haven't got rats! :-D :-D :-D :-D

I've seen the cat around, It's a very big black & white fluffy thing - well fed, and wearing a collar, so obviously not stray - it just that rather likes my nice soft compost :-D :-D :-D

Oh Maggie, fabulous :-D :-D :-D and so glad it wasn't a giant rat!

It was lovely weather when I went out there.
It's a shame they ran off - they're welcome in there any time :-D
