Only a nightie my dears …. It was warm and I rarely feel cold anyway. But it knocked my routine as I had to pull clothes on before I had my shower.

Island, baby dolls ... in my mum's photograph album that she put together for me (one for each kid), there is a gawwdawful photo of me at about 13, from behind, leaning on the kitchen counter reading the paper or something, in a pair of quite ratty dark beigy bloomer style nylon baby dolls -- i.e. basically a picture of my bum and bare legs. One wonders why. Not at all a Vogue cover pic.

2:43 a.m. here ... I'm fighting with the superstore grocery site to put in my order for tomorrow as I do every time I try to put in a late-night order ... either they spend Tuesday nights @#$%ing with the website so it's unusable or several thousand other people decide to put their orders in after midnight just to mess me around ...
Trying to get a slot for tomorrow afternoon and hoping they're not all gone by the time I manage to get in ... and then manage to get past the "almost there some things are running low" barricade ...
....... and ........
I just made it almost all the way to the end, and it demanded that I select bagging preferences. I CAN'T select bagging preferences because it's for delivery and thank heaven they no longer bag in plastic bags, they pack in used fruit etc. boxes. (In the olden days pre pandemic and pre all the medical mishaps we have had in the last 3 years, I ordered on line and went in to pack & pick up myself, in my permabags. Last month the chain has finally introduced a reusable bin that you return and exchange for the ones your order is packed in. But I don't have enough collected yet, at $6 a pop, and besides IT WON'T LET ME say "bins" anyway.)
So ... switching from Firefox to Chrome sometimes works ... here goes ... Ah yes, it's signed me out ...

Need to get it in for tomorrow because it's the last day of this week's sales and points offers, and there are big points on pet food again, with pet food including wild bird seed because I ran out on the weekend so I need it now and I want the points.
omg, it still wanted me to state my bagging preferences, but this time it offered me options. Bring my own, return bins, buy bins. So I bought one $6 bin and it was happy. Aiiieeee.
I'm a points hound. This time, I paid for exactly half my $320 order in points. ($100 of that order was cat food and bird seed. The defective cat has to eat tinned food, and it has gone up from 60cents on frequent sale from PetSmart online, free delivery, pre-pandemic, to over $1.00 a can now. The points offer is 20cents in points on the dollar. Can't pass that up. I also buy cat & dog food for the local Food Bank. Pets are people too. I do send people food too!
So after all that -- I win. Order went in. Remember I said it was 2:43? It's now 3:14. Only a half hour of doing battle this time. Well, that's after the previous attempts earlier tonight.
Fortunately, no work due tomorrow. But have to get up in decent time, to set up the delivery with Steve the delivery guy. I'm his favourite customer. I pay well (I try to get at least enough points on an order to cover the delivery charge) and when the bonus gift for a large order is, say, two giant packages of paper towel or two jumbo jugs of laundry detergent, that it would take me a year to use, I give him one. :-)
So I don't know what kind of day it is here yet! Yesterday was a bit coolish but it's supposed to be 25 today. With no pressing work, I shall shove No.1's wheely chair out to the front door and drink coffee on the veranda with him and the cat -- the cat who escaped last night when I was putting something outside in the dark, and only got back in when I panicked a bit this morning, afraid she had got herself blocked up again and was lurking somewhere out of sight, and then remembered: check outside. She had done it once before. Fortunately, spayed, and basically a wimp.

OMG - I really boobed!
I was sitting having breakfast just after 7 this morning - in my night attire - when I got a text from Oc*d* letting me know my order was being delivered between 7 and 8 am! What!!!
My fault and I don't know how I did it because usually I get all grocery deliveries between 10 am and 12 noon.
I have never moved so quickly for ages but managed to pull on t-shirt and trousers just in time cos I saw the van coming along the road opposite. I'll be double-checking everything I click from now on.
Lovely day here girls - sun is out and it is calm and dry, very promising indeed.
