I have checked but can't see if there is another thread although I thought I had seen one.

My winter fuel payment is now in my bank. Very grateful for it. Just waiting for the bills to to up now the weather has turned a bit colder.

Don't think it's done alphabetically as OH's and mine never come at the same time. I think they pull the names out of a hat ;-)

At least you will know if I have had mine they must be on the way (ish). Wonder if it is done by age. Oldest first? Or by NI numbers. Who knows? One of life's mysteries.

Perhaps it is age which would account for SuffolkVera and her OH getting payments at different times.....unless they are the same age which would throw that theory out of the window :-)

It's not alphabetical - per SuffolkVera and MotownGal's posts above.

My surname begins with A, and mine hasn't arrived yet
It must be by age or NI number.

Well the GOV website is not concise.

You need to be born between 1942 and 1956.

It will usually be paid automatically in Novermber or December.

If you have not received it by 13th January 2023, get in touch.

So, it will come, when it comes.

Ours usually arrives a couple of weeks apart but this year I got mine on 24th, OH on 25th. Obviously nothing to do with age as he is nearly 5 years older than me. As has been said, it comes when it comes.

Just checked it’s £500 for the post 1942 births and £600 for before

So yes am getting £600 but it’s not arrived yet

Have just looked at the government site and it says you will get the wfp if you were born before 26th September 1956.
