Our nearest motorway - M20- takes quite a battering, as much of the continental traffic comes through the Channel ports and via the Tunnel. |

I wonder if it is because HGVs are seeming to be getting larger and heavier and the materials used for roads can't cope? |

Is it just me or are Motorways getting worse? Sitting in a bus stop in Livingston now waiting on Mr Owl dropping off the HGV and bringing the car round. We did the usual trunking run Livingston to Rochdale and back last night and the M6 was absolutely awful bouncing up and down along most of the road. By comparison the A406 Livingston to Linlithgow road despite being used by a large number of HGVs and tractors as well as cars was really smooth. |
