I think we have enough to make green tomato chutney, Island. We had a glut this year and it’s several years since I made it.

We have mostly evergreen bushes and trees but the worst thing in our garden for shedding is the wisteria and it has barely lost a leaf yet this autumn. Our neighbour’s whatever climber is invading our space too much and it’s thriving at the expense of our clematis which ought to have spread along the fence by now. The clippers will be out soon.
