They have lost a mother and having lost my own mother very recently, its just the same for them. A huge sense of loss and yes Charles has been a king in waiting for years but now so sudden, its a huge undertaking to take her place.

I'm so sorry for Charles, having to take on such a huge job in his seventies - even though he'll have been preparing for it for a long time, and feeling it looming ahead of him all his life.

Oh dear how very, very sad.

The Queen passed away this afternoon, and the flag at Buckingham Palace is at half mast.

We have never known anyone else.

It's so very sad, but she has had a long and healthy life.

All we really could ask for her is a quick and painless death.

I well remember the day we were all summonsed to the Hall at school and given the news that the King had died, long live the Queen way back in 1952.

My brother, photo taken in September 1991 just a couple of weeks before he died. ............................................................ To help us and to get better results, please post as much detail as you can, especially name, date(s) and place. Also say what you already know.

Sadly I think she's dead already but it won't be announced until all the family is there. Your 6 o'clock news is probably going to be the announcement.

Not unexpected but still very sad.

It seems, if she dies in Scotland, she lies in state in Edinburgh before coming down to London.

Yes we also think it may have already happened and that news ready have been told what to say and when to say it, we also think it has been in place for a long time and possible practiced a few time too.

I cant help thinking, that she may of passed already somehow. Huw Edwards is already wearing a black tie!

If anything happens anytime soon, they wont announce it until they are ready. All the procedures have been in place for a long time.

It will be hard to imagine life without the Queen <3

It’s not looking good
The family must have been told she is failing for them all to go to balmoral

Seems Harry and Meghan have cancelled a visit and are on their way there too
