For 1765, it gives the mothers name as Sarah so am I to assume that that is her maiden name, if so is there a way I can find out who his Father is. :-D |

Sometimes a baptism for back then will have a note by the priest (presumably) as to the name of the father. |

It might be work checking to see if the local archives have any bastardy bonds or other claims which might name the father. |
