Why were those two keys put next each other?

Here's another that could have done with a bit of proofreading, though I rather like the picture it conjures up.

A large shop in our town has closed down and a small local bakery has taken over the premises. It is a big expansion for them.and when I passed today they had a temporary counter set up and a display of bread and cakes etc. They also had a couple of tables with customers having coffee. Outside was a large notice which said

Until we are fully open we are having a few 'wing it' days. While we are all learning would the kind people of (town) please bare with us.

Talking of typos, a friend of mine was going to a funeral. She texed a friend before hand and this is what she typed.
Hi D, how about we go for a coffin before the funeral?

She only realised after she had sent the message and friend replied," is that meant to be funny?" She was mortified but luckily the friend saw the funny side and they laughed about it but it could have been a relative of the deceased and that would have be dreadful. Modern technology for you with a computer guessing what you are going to write...pre defined text I think its called.

I always read back before I send now as I accidentally sent a message to someone else by mistake but was able to delete before it was read!

Vera, a case of relying on Technology with no back up for that sort of problem. Thinking about it, other than resorting to the old order book left at the grocers as we did in the 60s with the coop when they delivered, I can't think of a way to back up their huge system. Unless by having a second system in some way. Any ideas?

Good things that can be bad? How about Tesco’s technical systems? Wonderful when working but I bet all those people who failed to get a delivery yesterday wished delivery sorters/managers still worked with a clipboard and pen.

Some of the errors mentioned on here have made me laugh. I saw this yesterday; not so much an error as a case of stating the b******* obvious. I was informed that heat stroke and heat exhaustion were most likely to occur in heat. Really, and there’s me thinking it usually happened on a wet winter’s day.

I can be guilty of not proof reading myself. I once emailed someone about something I had posted asking him to pick it up “before K does”, only I typed “before K dies”, an unfortunate error as K was quite unwell at the time.

Bit difficult, if it's empty! :-)

My challenges with modern technology involve sub titles on TV.
Live broadcasts are the worst and although I am very grateful for the help they can give, there are times when I am left wondering.

This morning's weather forecast by Carol Kirkwood informed me that over Scotland 'minibuses will move into the North Sea'. :-S
