Some WW1 records are in Fold3 on Ancestry, but many aren't.

They may have done names, I don't have Ancestry myself so wouldn't know but I thought it was worth mentioning.

Haven’t ancestry put the war records onto Fold3 which needs a separate sub?

Remember that around 70% of WW1 records were destroyed in a fire so if you have looked on Findmypast and can't find them they probably haven't survived.
