Northern Lights tonight

Tonight is a good night to see the Northern lights even if you are not as far north as me. They could be visible all over the world apparently.

So if anyone sees them, come on here and share.

I'd love to see them but I think I'm too far south and there is too much light from London :-( :-(

They are on my wish list :-D :-D

I'm also too far south - though I have been lucky enough to see them when I lived in Shetland, and, weirdly, saw them in Winchester about 10 years ago.
The Winchester ones weren't 'dancing', it was more like a slightly pulsating faint green misty haze low in the sky.

I'd love to see them, but I'm so far south that I'm nearer to France than I am to London.

The weather watcher photos this morning on Breakfast TV were amazing and such a range of colours.

I went out the back door and looked up and saw a shooting star streaking across the sky. it was magical. Nothing else on show yet.

We are hoping to go on a northern lights cruise next week. We are currently frantically doing LTF tests as OH is a covid contact.

The other person didn't mention they were feeling a bit rough before they went out

GRRRRHHH!!!!

Oh no names that's terrible, hope OH is clear!
Where abouts are you travelling to?

Well no show last night of the Northern Lights but there will be other times. Unfortunately, there is no set time when they appear. Some nights, i just happen to look outside and there they are.

But the shooting star made my night :-D

Hi Florence

We may or may not be going to Norway.

OH spent time with his mate on Saturday so I think tomorrows test is crucial. Then we find out what the cruise company views are. We have to send a form tomorrow when we have to confess we have been incontact with a positive case within the last 7 days. However, we would have 11 full days between the contact and leaving.

The pictures (on the BBC website)of last nights lights in Scotland were amazing.
