On the local news tonight, it has been reported that the diggers have gone into the Moat, to remove the turf. A path will meander around the flowers when they bloom.

Some interesting artifacts have been uncovered already, some coins, and a bullet from WW1.

The seeding will beging in March.

The gardeners aim to sow seeds that will bloom all through Summer, with different colours as the year progresses.

Free to view from the road, but ticketed to walk amongst the flowers.

I know Belle, the ceramic poppies were a sight to behold.

Lovely to think the moat is being used for something beautiful. <3

In the Spring of 2022 the moat at the Tower of London, will be sown with a variety of seeds to create a vibrant sea of colour that will evolve from June to September.

The planting will attract bees, pollinators and seed-eating birds.

This use of the moat will celebrate the Platinum Jubilee of Her Majesty the Queen.
