Is it possible to get a birthdate of a deceased person from 1880 I have the death certificate it only states age 57 i have a brick wall l cant fix My grt grt grandfather all i know is he was born in nottingham nottinghamshire in 1823 to 1826 his dad was william jackson he was george jackson so i cant find his birth :( i have his marriage in ireland and all uk records he was in great george street wigan in 1871 alive in 1873 his daughter catherines wedding she married john hurst born 1846 bolton in 1881 mary jane georges wife lived with catherine and john in blackrod wigan mary jane was a widow .... I have a certificate i bought that looked ok same age george jackson died 1880 5th may burrial at standish but there where two george jacksons same age from wigan same wife name wrong place of birth on census i am frightenedi have wrong one my george and his father william where both disscribed as labourers i think the other jackson family had a farm can any one please help me

Ps I cant even find catherine and john on 1901 census but john is on the 1911 census with his daughter margaret grieves and husbsnd working in their fish and chip shop and john is down as a widow

Have you looked for his baptism certificate?

If he was married in Ireland, was he in the Army? If so, it might be possible to find his enlistment and/or record of service

Are you sure that George was dead when Catherine got married?

Sometimes a marriage break-up happened and it sounded "better" to say the parent was dead, rather than not around!

Have you searched for him on the next census, for example.

Thsnk you every one i have all the cesus records except the 1901john and catherine are no placd to be found what i want to work oyt is georges baptism or birth snd his actual death. And catherine who died between 1901 and 1911 then georges death it was not the 5th may 1880 one ijust cant work out john or catherines 1901 where they had got to ?

Hi sorry to cause problems xx i have all census info except 1901 cathering and john hurst cant find them last known address wigan lane other info i need is georges death in wigan between 1873/1880 the 5th may 1880 burrial standish isnt george
I also cant find death for catherine hurst and mary jane jackson 1880/1891blackrod wigan some one found a george and catherine in yorkshire in 1901 but dont know if its them
