MTG no you are not the only one, I find the costumes can be very distracting and don't help the dancers. Maybe it is done for that reason like when they sometimes give dancers and skaters props.

We have just been watching our recording of Strictly and I thought it was just me, who didn't enjoy the costumes, although I appreciate the work that's gone into them.

Some people did shine 'in character', but I prefer when they concentrate on the dances.

Yes it was a good result, no way should adam have gone before Judi, It does seem as though the public are going to try and keep Dan in but neither he nor Sara were very good this weekend. I think the future is going to really mainly depend on how well they dance that evening now.

I think it was an odds on certainty that Judi would go if she was pitted against Adam. Katya's character emerging from the piano reminded me of that horror film The Ring.

I think AJ, Tom, John, Rose and Rhys will be the last to go anywhere.

I agree Dan seems to have a following, probably simply because he is on Breakfast TV, but it is a dancing competition after all.

My favourites last night, in no particular order;-), were

Rose's Samba
Tom's Paso
AJ's Charleston
Sara's Quickstep
and, I think, John's Rumba.....I say think, cos I'm still not use to same sex dancing and to me it just doesn't seem to flow the same :-0

It's getting more and more difficult to send someone home but this week I really do feel Dan should be in the dance off with :-S.....perhaps Adam again :-0

Dan has improved tremendously but not as much as the other dancers though :-( If he finds himself Inthe dance off I feel sure The Judges will choose to send him home. However, will the public keep him in as they have with other celebs in previous years :-0
That would certainly set the cat amongst the pigeons :-0 :-0 :-D

Up early this morning belle?

I loved Rose and AJ last night and although the Paso is not a favourite dance of mine I did think Tom's was very good. Sara's too was good.

I am not sure about John's Rumba, I am sure that it was technically good but I felt they tried too hard. I also felt a little uncomfortable about the sexuality of it. (And I would have said the same if it was a female/male or female/female coupld) I felt it was a bit overplayed.

I am not keen on the couples' dances and didn't like Dan's much. I think he might be in the dance off and either Adam or maybe tilly

Well I loved AJ's Charleston. Talk about Josephine Baker, she was fabulous. Those long legs.

Not sure about Rose's Samba, but she sure loved those boots, and worked them.

Loved Tom's Paso, but not too keen on his costume, although Amy looked lovely, as usual.

Sarah came back again this week, I am pleased.

I do think it is time for Dan to go. Maybe him in the dance off with either Adam or Tilly. It would be a shame is a lesser dancer is kept in because of popularity against a more accomplished one.

I thought what made Rose's Samba so good was she was often dancing in front of Giovanni and not in hold therefore couldn't see him to follow for timing. If I didn't know she was deaf I would never have guessed :-0

I was talking to a number of people this morning while out walking Ralphie about Strictly and everyone was saying similar to you AnnG about John's Rumba :-0

No Belle, no-one would know Rose was deaf if we had not been told. I do not watch Eastenders, so do not know her from there.

I think she said previously she 'counts' the beats to get her rhythm.

One definite positive is that by watching her we are learning a little BSL. <3

Loved John and Johannes again. Actually thought it was the best one I've seen .

Rose again was fabulous, it must be hard work for both of them but they make it look easy.

A J was amazing I thought it was a great Charleston .

Dance off . Adam and Dan or Sara maybe.

They are mine too JustGinnie. I loved Rose's outfit with those white boots! I do hope she gets to keep them. She tries so hard and Giovanni teaches her so well. I wasn't keen on AJ's personality, but boy did she make the best of those long legs in her Charleston!! Her dress was lovely too.

I just feel Dan is relying on being known so well. The way he keeps tilting his head forward looking down doesn't help his posture at all.

Tom's Paso and lines were great, but I agree with MTG about his costume.

It was the correct result tonight, Adam has been on borrowed time. Dan needs to go, but he has too much support. He will run out of time soon though

Think it was the right result . I wonder why Shirley would have kept Adam . was it me or did she seem a bit put out that the others had kept Tilly. Did Craig forget Tilly's name for a moment as I noticed he said said her partner first.

I thought the dance off was so close last night but I too think it was, marginally, the right decision :-(

So Dan survives another week :-0. I do hope his fan base is not that large that two of the good dancers are pitched against each other in the dance off next week :-|

I have to say that I did like Adam and it was a shame that he was not allowed to dance another week along with Tilly :-(

Well we were correct about Tilly and Adam being in the dance off, but little did I think it would be against each other. I thought one or other would be against Dan!

I am still wondering why the results of the voting are not made public.

I hope the popularity vote will not swing it for another week to the detriment of others.

Sadly yes it was the right decision Tilly has done so well to progress this far. Adam actually didn't seem surprised, he too has done well to learn to dance that well. I sometimes think that when Shirley says she would have voted for the one that lost it is a diplomatic vote. even Anton admitted he had to look really hard to find a reason why one of them should go/stay. Shirley does like the male dancers.

yes JustG I think Craig momentarily forgot Tilly's name.

There has been a surge in people applying to learn BSL, either in person or the internet. How great is that? <3

Also a few of the dailies have been asking why Dan is still in the competition, when he is always near the bottom of the leader board.

And Adam's Mum states her belief that the public vote is fixed.
