Judi has tested positive so she and her partner, Graziano, are isolating and will not appear in this Saturday's Strictly :-(

I heard that too on the news.

Falling like flies this year. :-(

Another good week of dancing. Rose and Giovanni, John and Johannes and AJ and Kai were the best for me. Really enjoying watching this year.

Although Sara is good I just haven't warmed to her at all.

Ugo might be in bottom 2 this week

I think the standard is really high this year :-0

Last night I thought even Dan had upped his game :-D

I am very much a ballroom fan and my favourites last night were Rose's Viennese Waltz, Tilly's Foxtrot & AJ's Argentine Tango :-D

The Rumba is always a difficult dance for the celebrities and last night it was no exception. Although I have to say that I thought Sara's dance was way better than Ugo"s :-0

I think it should be Dan & Ugo in the Dance Off with Ugo to go but I think Dan has a large following so it could be Sara but still with Ugo to go :-(

I thought Ugo was the one likely to be in the dance off but it did cross my mind to wonder if he was really well enough to return this week. covid does vary with the length of recovery time, the worry is that they will push themselves to recover and do some permanent damage. the problem with so many catching it is possibly because this year they seem to be continuing in their normal jobs so are mixing with other people. (maybe on transport?)

I loved Rose's Viennese Waltz and also liked John, Tilly and AJ. Dan has improved a lot but it could be him and Ugo in the dance off or maybe Sara. Not easy to tell as they all have their own following.

Really high standard again last night.

Rose, John, AJ, Tom and Rhys will not be going home for sure.

I too think it will be Ugo in the dance off, but will they pit him against a better dancer just to make it easier for the judges.

Just read in the papers that AJ and Kai are a couple.

Looking at Ugo dance I'm wondering whether his back problem was still giving him trouble as I thought he didn't look as happy as he usually does :-( <3

That opening sequence must have been recorded because Graziano was dancing and I thought he was in isolation because of Judi :-0 I have to say though I'm not sure who needs to isolate and who doesn't any more :-S :-D

I am not sure either belle, maybe it is ok if he tests negative. I don't know.

I thought Ugo was very stiff dancing but I wondered whether he was fully recovered . I think it was the right decision and I was surprised that Rhys was the other one in the dance off. It is getting harder to choose now though as they all improve. It might be Dan next week (or Judi if she is back).
It was a good week though and they are all improving well.

Well, I’ve just caught up with the dances and, for me, the best was the Argentine Tango by AJ and Kai. What a fab dance - there was nothing I didn’t like about it.

Loved Rose and Giovanni tonight, the dance was great and their reaction to the score was so real .
Another good week for John but not his best.
Tilly had a good week even with a green face and green tights lol.
I thought some of the dances were not as good as previous weeks for some of the celebs. They are most likely all feeling tired by now
Wasn't keen on the couples choice for Sara and the dance that Judi did, ( Cha Cha ?)

Judi in the dance off again maybe. Who with though?

I thought that Rose & Giovanni's Tango was fab-u-lous and they were head and shoulders above everyone else this week :-0

The other two dances that stood out for me were Tilly's Cha Cha & AJ's Viennese Waltz :-D I thought the choreography in Tilly's dance was very good :-D. I'm finding that a lot of the Viennese Waltzs this year are really intense whereas my impression of the Waltz is flowing, light and twirly :-0

I felt a bit sorry for Rhys cos I think he was trying too hard and the Paso didn't look natural :-(

Sara's dance wasn't her best but I think some of that was down to the choice of dance, the music and in particular the choreography :-(. I'm sure Sara has danced a Tango before and got high marks for it :-S

For me the rest are all very much In the mix :-0

Judi did well to turn up with a dance but she was struggling before her enforced break :-0. So I think Judi and Sara or possibly Rhys again in the dance off....with Judi to go :-(

Loved Rose and Giovanni's dance and her excitement is, as Belle says, so natural, not forced at all, I also liked Tilly and AJ John and Johanne were good but not as outstanding. I think Sara and Judi probably in the dance off although there might be a public surprise

Rose surpassed herself again with Giovanni. She get so excited with the scores, it is a pleasure to see.

I think Rhys was putting himself under too much pressure after last week, John also looked as if he was trying a bit too hard. You can understand it but there is no need from either of them, they are both terrific dancers.

I think it may be Judi and Dan in the dance off.

I agree with Belle about the Viennese Waltz. I have always thought it should flow gracefully and twirly with the guy dressed in black tie and the lady in a full skirted, multi-under-netted dress in a light colour -not black.

I do believe costume matters.

I always think something like the Paso or Arg Tango requires a vibrant hot orange or red costume and not pale lilac, pale blue or pale pink. Does anyone else feel the same about dances and colours?

Edit: Also have to say that when the music notes rise is when I expect a couple to rise on their toes - the opposite when the notes are low so a long legged low circular sweep to low notes would get an extra point from me. :-D

JoyL yes I agree with you especially about the Viennese waltz. It should be graceful and floating, dignified and proper evening dress. But these are modern times and the young dancers would no doubt say we are 'old fashioned'.

Well, it's only my opinion but they may as well be dancing at the local hop in that case, and it would be a sheer waste of talent and hard work as far as I can see, Ann. :-0 :-(

I may be the only one to say so, but I dislike the Halloween edition of Strictly.

So much is put into the make up, costumes, hair, that I think the dances suffer.

I do like a man in tails, Brendan always looked cracking in his, as does Anton. :-)

I’ve just caught up, watching the dances only.

For me, Rose and Adam and their partners ranked high while Sarah, Dan, Judy and partners made up the lower tier.
