Brilliant news. At long last I can get back into the routine whereby we eat before it starts and all door knockers and phone ringers get ignored!!!!!!
Even my little dog knows not to ask for anything whilst it's on. She recognises the introduction music and wags her tale. Probably because she knows she gets a continual lap for the duration and a ready hand for fuss.
Can't wait to get to know the couples.

Anton is a judge this year, so he will not be lumbered with two left feet. Although he gives value for money! ;-)

Oh dear, kaffufle before it begins.

It is suggested that more than half of the contestants have had dance training sometime in their life. Be it dance lessons, or stage school.

You're right, I should think that all contestants who attended stage school of any sort would have learned how to dance as well as the odd other contestant.

I don't know how they could avoid this dilemma because I have heard even some boxers do dance classes as I know many other athletes do too - as part of their fitness and co-ordination routines.

Only a few hours now until the launch.

Two of the professionals are not vaccinated and are refusing to be so. Celebrities not happy. And I can't say that I blame them.

Looks like there are some interesting new professionals.

What struck me most that everyone was laughing and joking, being cheeky. What a refreshing note to start the season.

I thought the show was better tonight than the previous way of introducing the partners. There are about three obvious no hopers, but some of the others look good

Didn't they used to have the match up show at least two weeks before the first proper show? I know things have changed since Covid but how are they supposed to be dancing by next Saturday? Have they just been rehearsing as a group with all different professionals. I do get the impression that there is somethings we are not told. But yes, I enjoyed it and there were some who looked as though they will be good. I liked the way Rose and partner (Giovanni?) seem to have clicked with him communicating well with her. have visions of her interpreter learning to dance with them :-D :-D
