See that’s the bit I don’t get Pat……you can still pass the virus on and still contract it. The benefits of the vaccine are hopefully to stop you being hospitalized should you be unlucky enough to contract it :-( |

The only reason why they are even considering relaxing the restrictions is because of the vaccination programme, Ann. People can get Covid even if they have been vaccinated just like the flu but it is milder and survivable..... before vaccination sadly that wasn't the case :-( |

Vaccinations help the body to recognise the virus and get antibodies that know how to attack that virus so it attacks it faster and with the knowledge of how to attack it. The virus is therefore far less effective it would far more virulent if the person hadn't been vaccinated. |
