For what it is worth my thoughts are that Princes Margaret couldn't pronounce Elizabeth so called her Lilibet, so to call their daughter Lilibet is good, in my opinion anyway. |

Yes they do Island and I am one of them who never knew my father's family. I began to resent the fact the choice was made for me as I grew up, felt it should have been my decision not my parents'. That is the point I was trying to make. It was what made me research my family history. I am not concerned about titles. Princess Anne's children don't have them. |

There is such a huge disparity between the lives of the two brothers. |

I think a lot of people grow up away from the other side of the family Ann. I'm sure they'll manage just fine. |

A new life to possibly be spent mostly away from half her family though because of her parents' wants. The children may grow up not agreeing with their parents' actions and wishing they could have been royals. |

Their son is named Archie Mountbatten, Mountbatten being a family name. |

Nah definately not ZZzzz. You cannot insult the Queen one minute and then name a child after her, well only the likes of Megan can. |

I don't think it is creeping, I think it is their way of passing family names down the generations. |

Same here Phyll, I won't put my opinions of them both on here as I would probably get banned as it would definately not be polite :-|. |

There will be a few Lillibets born in the next couple of years I bet. |

I agree LaGooner but Meghan is very good at that. Cannot stand either of them with their "poor me" whining. |

How lovely for them and another great grandchild for the Queen. I would have preferred Elizabeth to Lillibet though. I think they could have used the pet name but given her Elizabeth as her given name. I wouldn't mind betting she will probably be known as Lilli. |

A bit of good news at last for the Royal family & an uplift for the country generally. |
