Is it possible to put a house on the market without a for sale sign in the garden, in an estate agent window or anywhere at all when it was sold and what it was sold for?

I can't see the point in it, unless there is something to hide.

I know of someone who did conceal the fact that her house was for sale. No one knew until she moved out - she did have something to hide and there were consequences for the couple that bought the house.

When we sold the BIL’s house there was no sign outside as it was empty. However it was listed by estate agents.

Round here it is used to Bessie that each estate agent had such a long waiting list that all they had to do was start ringing their clients.

Who's Bessie, Names?

When we sold our last house 7 years ago we didn't have a board up - no point, we were in the middle of nowhere. The estate agent didn't have it in his window either, nor put it on Rightmove etc.. Instead he prepared a brochure which he sent out just to customers who had shown an interest in similar properties.

Bessie’s other name is Auto Correct!

I had written ‘be said’. Which seems to have worked this time :-D

I think Land Registry publish the selling price of a property. and there are several websites showing property sale prices.
