There is one shop that does give model height (M & S?) and I find it most disconcerting to be told "the model is 5' 10" and wearing size 12" . If only!! :-( :-( |

aren't they all when trying to sell things. I just wish they would give some idea of the height of the models. |

I get regular mailings of small catalogues from Cotton Traders. Some of their stuff is very good but beware that the photographer is a genius ;-) |

I shop in store not on line but I like Edinburgh wool for tops and Tee shirts. I have also had a couple of nice things from Bon Marche, also bought in store not on line. Daughter and son in law shop in Cotton traders ans she is fussy. There is also Klass, but that is a bit more expensive and M&co, I used to shop with them when they were in the high Street. |

I've also bought a fair bit from Cotton Traders though I don't think the quality is as good as it was a few years ago and you have to watch the sizing a bit, but there is no problem with returning goods. Several friends use Bon Marche, though I don't have any personal experience of them. What about Edinburgh Woolen Mills? I don't know whether they have the sort of clothes you are looking for but I know they have free UK returns. |

Florence, I buy a lot of stuff from Cotton Traders. They are based in UK, the clothes are good quality and they have things in women's sizes as well as unisex. |

I have no idea why I have such problems, but it is almost always at about this time .......... 7-8 pm here, which is about 3-4 am UK time, so not busy. I'm afraid I don't change browsers when it happens, I just shrug my shoulders, think "GR again!" and move on to another site for the rest of the couple of hours I'm on the internet in the evening. |

Your house will be beautiful when it is finished Linda and it will be worth all the upheaval. We spent years getting our last house just how we wanted it and then decided that, as we were getting older and we were in a tiny hamlet with no facilities, we would have to move to somewhere more suitable. All the work we had done to the house and huge garden meant that we sold the house in 2 months instead of the more usual 2 years for that area, so it was worth it. |

It seems that nothing is straightforward Linda doesn't it?. when it is all finished I will look out for it in the House beautiful magazine. (Is that still published?) :-D |

The biggest jobs left are replacing the double doors between the lounge and dining room with glazed ones, they are being done next Wednesday. Followed by a total refit of the en-suite, that is booked in for the second week in July, because the plumber is busy. The loft needs more insulation and we need to replace all the carrots on tbe stairs, landing and bedrooms. Once that is done, al, the major work will be complete inside and hopefully that will see us out :-D |
