Afternoon peeps
Well we still have a covering of snow and a few flurries so here's hoping it will melt away soon.Im not going out anywhere thankfully as it's here and car windscreen is still covered in snow.
Tel the garage to book car in for a main service, oil change etc and were so busy I have to wait til 10 May!

I also phoned hospital for appointment for my steroid jags in my thighs.Firs5 appointment 5th May!
Have I missed something ladies, what's the dreaded HW?

Dermot have you ever heard the expression"shivering with the
heat."?
Wish I could get the laundry outside but think I would need a hot water bottle inside my jacket!
Keep warm all.

Good morning all

A light snow covering overnight,it's a cold and frosty morning I've been and deiced the bird baths and pleased to be inside with a hot drink to warm me up. Wrap up warm if you're going out and stay safe.

Morning all.

I wake early, no matter what time I go to sleep.
It comes from getting up with OH, when he used to commute to London.
I don't mind that at this time of the year though. It seems to be a bonus part of the day, when most people are still asleep.

I often make use of our cheaper overnight rate of electricity and put a wash load in the machine.

Morning all, I have just put the bins out and it's a bit chilly out there. I am now thawing out with a hot coffee :-D

Good morning all, a sprinkle of snow overnight but just frozen on roofs and tops of cars now and that is melting, 0 degree here at the moment

Since being on my own I wake up at all odd very early hours. It is a good nights sleep for me if I wake up at 0600.

I don't think I will be going far either today. might have to resort to the dreaded HW.

Zzzzzz I still wake up at silly-o-clock!

Years of getting up at 5.30, and tip-toeing around so I didnt wake anyone else.

I was taking the dog out for a pee at 6am.

Only me and the other daft dog walkers around at that time. :-D ;-)

Good morning Chit Chatters. :-)

Lovely bright and sunny morning here. Bit chilly though.

Not so clever when I put the bins out at 6am this morning. Mine was the only light on in the street. Maybe because so many are working from home, they do not need to be up so early.

Wrap up well, keep warm.

Well thankfully or weather is now cooling down and we are going into our more normal Autumn weather pattern.

Interestingly, there are two potential cyclones off the North-West coast which could merge to make one super cyclone :-0

Hopefully they will just become neighbours and not friends with benefits :-D

Thanks Florence, I'm having the gas metre put in on Friday then I need to find a gas safe engineer for the boiler. I had another company put the gas pipes in last week.
Shame I couldn't find one company to do all three jobs instead of three different people. Hopefully it won't be to long before we have at least hot running water.
What a luxury that'll be ;-)

We had some snow before but not much so OH was okay driving to work, he works nights so it can be a bit slippy in the mornings before the sun hits the roads. He said he saw the gritter out before so I think we're in for a chilly night.

I hope you have the sun tomorrow Florence. The poor delivery driver, I bet he was glad when his shift ended, so he could go home and be warm.

Loved the way you described the blizzard as looking like a pillow fight Island lol :-D :-D :-D :-D

Its Gill thats waiting for a boiler.

We've had tiny snow today on and off but nothing like Florence. It waited till I went to corn the chickens and then it came down harder than it had all day.

Just started this thread this week and it's great to see lots of people popping in and out.
Feel free to share anything of interest or humerus to make someone smile.

Our snow did melt this afternoon in the sun,but there is a blizzard just now and my heating has been on all day.
I hope Susan you get your boiler installed soon.
Keep warm and stay safe.

We've just had a blizzard, it was like a pillow fight out there :-0
More is forecast, I don't think anyone will be tin tray sledging though.

Gillx Report 6 Apr 2021 16:48

All this snow and we haven't had any. Mind you OH's not complaining with having to take the rubbish to the tip. It's still windy though and very cold.

I see you live in Somerset Susan, I live on the Wirral so about the middle of the country. I thought with all the snow everyone's talking about you all lived further up North than me. You're not on your own with the cold though. I'm having to use blankets to keep warm as we don't have any central heating or hot water as there's no gas metre here. We only moved here about six weeks ago so are looking forward to the gas metre going in this week so we can have a boiler installed. I bet we end up with a heatwave then :-D :-D :-D :-D
