I intended fitting it today, so waited until the cats were asleep.
I was only measuring, but somehow they realised something was 'up', and both came into the kitchen.
Every time I put the cat flap on the (uncut as yet) door, to check it's not on the ledge of the door, George tries to put his head through it! :-D :-D :-D

I think I'll have to give up for today!!

George wants a flat cap to go with it :-D

He's pretty desperate for freedom, and misses his catflap.
He stands by the door and yowls until I open it - he pokes his head out, looks around - and brings it back in - he doesn't go out - just needs to 'sniff out' his 'territory'.
It's driving me around the bend :-|

I have a master flap operator who enters singing his master op flapperators song.

Just tried again - both of them turned up!
I didn't even touch the catflap, so it wasn't the noise.
Managed to draw the outline I need, though!

Just realised it's 4pm - the time they consider 'their' teatime!

These cats do like to make sure that their humans are doing things correctly.

Hope you get it fitted soon without too much more help.

Do they like their new territory?

This afternoon, I saw a youngish lady walking a cat on a lead along the beach. :-S

I'm due for an eye test next week.

Gwyn, I only learnt last week, that one neighbour has 4 cats - but, although they can get out of the house, they can't get further than a couple of feet into the garden, as the neighbours have put trellis across the back of their house.
George went over there a few evenings ago - I can only presume the cats were in their 'exercise yard' - the screaming and yowling was incredible!
George ran back in, and his under the sofa.

I also caught a HUUUge cat in the garden last week. He looked lovely - but huge.
Once he'd finished sniffing in the garden,he strolled over to the back door.
I rattled the door handle, so he looked up, and I just stood still, staring at him.
He soon ran off :-D :-D

Betty rarely goes out, but George needs to know what's going on, and have an easy escape route - back into the house. Having said that - quite often, he will go outside - then come in to do his 'business' in a litter tray:-| :-|
I think he may have smelt 'huge cat', and decided to be cautious.

Cats are constantly on the wrong side of a Cat Flap.

Or, in George's case- the wrong side of the door! :-(
