I need to get one of those long flexible things you poke down your plughole when it is blocked and I don't know what it is called.

Can anybody enlighten me please?

Put " flexible drain unblocker" into google and you'll get plenty of choice from £ 2 up.

If you have net curtains on one of those coated wire thingys then you can use that - saves buying one.

Thank you.

I have ordered one,and some of the stuff for tipping down the plug-hole from Wilkinsons.

The pipe under my bath is well long, it is the length of the bath and more and I am the only one who uses that bath. I must get extremely dirty!

We call them 'Elephants' Trunks over here, and you normally borrow hem from the local zoo.

Unfortunately they come still attached to the elephant and as you can imagine sometimes the solution is worse than the problem :-(

On a positive note, you could end up with a cleared drain and a heap of manure for the garden.

Oh Allan, have you been unzipping that dotage again?
