The Celts were late arrivals - Julius Caesar write a little about their origins in his military memoir "Caesar in Gaul". Before them the islands were inhabited by the Picts, Beaker people and who knows who else. A DNA Survey of people in Cheddar ( long term residents only ) showed half had genes going back to the time of Stonehenge. |
