Ron2, hubby had same reaction as you for a couple of days. he had the ptzfer? one. I had the Oxford one and felt like I had bad flu for 2 days.

I was told that was because our bodies were working well with it. :-S

had mine a week ago in early evening, no waiting. 0530hrs Saturday morning awake with bad nausea, vertigo, pins needles both hands and many, many burps - calmed down after about one hour. Nurse at my GPs had hers that evening and she had symptoms similar to mine tho no burps but she had raging temperature. Not looking forward to 2nd one in March. Venue was in the bar at local soccer ground - not well organised - the bar wasnt open! lol the brand of the vaccination was Pfizer

Had mine today very smooth operation, no queuing and home within an hour including calling at the local shop/cash machine. And the required 15 minute wait after the jab, which was painless.

I have just had a phone call from the GP to say that we are both being done on Monday, at the surgery. Nice and local and easy to get to.

Hubby getting his second one next Wednesday (hopefully) I had mine on Tuesday, my next one is in April.

Stay safe and well everyone.
:-)
Up date.
Hubby has had his second one cancelled. :-(

My daughter had hers today. She works for the NHS, and is immunocompromised.
She won't get the next one until March.
Let's hope the delay in second jabs doesn't create a vaccine resistant 'super' strain of the virus :-(

I think you're right, names. I seem to recall reading how surgeries were given the option of organising with other surgeries to vaccinate.

At first the jab was being given at our local uni medical centre - fairly central and with good transport connections and parking facilities.

Now, however, our doctor has organised with nearby surgeries so those being called from our surgery at the moment have about a four-mile ride to the hub surgery. From what I can glean it is a clinic central to all of those surgeries which are part of the same hub,

More vaccination centres are opening all the time - mobile ones included so, with a bit of luck, by the time it is our turn we'll only have to turn up at our own doctor's for the jab.

Three of my older pals have now had the second jab and none has told me of any side effects.

Our surgery started last week. They are operating 12 hours a day, seven days a week .and are reportedly doing 300 per day. I don't know how far down the list I am.

Why are the doctors complaining? Did they not have the option of organising, some times with others, to do it themselves?

Round here some surgeries have refused to do it but are relying on surgery led groups to organise it. We have one group led by our own surgery and another large group using a large venue in their area.

Edit. I know of an 80+ with copd who lost their appetite for a couple of days after the first jab. They have had the second but I don’t know if anything happened.

Hi all,
Has anyone had their Covid vaccine yet and if so have you had any side effects.

Hope you are all safe and well.
