Christmas presents

As a family, we decided not to give presents in 2020.
However, my sister and I, on one of our nightly calls were discussing deodorants, and the number of chemicals they contain, especially the 'non sweat' ones.

To be honest, we both live alone, and during lockdown, we realised we'd both been avoiding deodorant, but both found one armpit was more prone to 'honk' than the other. Looked it up - it's quite normal.
Being practical, we decided this could be a defense against idiots who come too close when we're out. Just raise the most offensive arm and expose the smelly armpit - they'd soon back off! :-D :-D :-D
However, we then realised this could result in our 'getting a name for ourselves' in our respective neighbourhoods

Well, my sister, who had a habit of going on courses, had been on one where she made moisturisers etc.
She looked online, and found a recipe for a safe 'green' deodorant.
Looking at the ingredients, she realised she had them from her other course - and they were still in date!

Well, she popped around yesterday, to drop off some boxes and collect something she'd left here last year. We met outside, and she gave me a present.
Home made deodorant!
I'm not sure the name will catch on.
It's called "Be Pong Free" :-D :-D

Maggie, I use a deodorant which is free of aluminium and paraben and I've done so for umpteen years, even when I was working and my retirement years are now in double figures. I think aluminium is the problem in most deodorants but we all know how badly are the effects of paraben.

It is also alcohol-free but I don't think that makes a jot of difference.

Pong Free deodorant! There could be a canny market for it! :-D

JoyLouise, we'd both looked for chemical free deodorants, but had no luck.

At least when I received my present, I was alone.
Sister took her son some home made (named) crackers.
Her poor son opened his - and out popped her home made deodorant! :-D
His teenaged daughter had a lovely time - took the mickey all day! :-D :-D :-D

Maggie, I've sent you a message.

For anyone else reading, my advice would be not to use sprays for obvious reasons.
