I am looking for any information on Robert Carson, a vaudeville performer known as the "wee man of Kirkcaldy" born in Scotland around 1865-70 possibly in the Glasgow area. Had a brother Robert and a son also Colin born November 1896.

If his name was Robert, his brother surely wasn't Robert too.

So was the son called Colin

How have you worked back to these people

Do you have any further information which might help us to help you - what is the source of the information you have given already

There are no births for a Colin Carson 1895-1897 in either Scotland or England/Wales or Ireland

Thank you for this information. The second one is the correct one. He was known as the "wee man of Kirkcaldy" and all the males were clay pipe makers over the years.

I knew one of the universities was carrying out a study of music hall and now I have found it.

The University of Glasgow has a Scottish theatre archive and they have a list of further reading you might find useful.
