	As you know, I have been a vegetarian for a very long time and would rather not use medicine that is tested on animals but have mellowed over the years and will take it if I really have to. It seems likely that I will have the Covid vaccine although I don't have the flu one. What I am wondering is how the huge current vegan market is going to affect the take-up of vaccine. Most of them are young and very vehement, an advertizers dream, and I wonder how much of a threat they might be to the control of the pandemic.

	Probably not really much more of a threat than many of the younger generations who think that it is nothing more than the cold or flu. Australia has done very well in controlling the disease but there are still sporadic outbreaks, the most recent one in Sydney., yet on Christmas afternoon the riot police had to be called to break up a massive beach party at Bronte Beach (in Sydney) despite all the info regarding social distancing, etc.. Vegans may have their ethical views on the vaccine, but many others will think that it will never happen to them so why bother.
