No pay rise for MPs

Well, it would have been their 9th rise in 10 years!
Whereas the other public sector workers have had their pay frozen for 10 years, with one paltry rise earlier this year.

Transpires it was the independent body IPSA (who sets MPs pay) who did a 'U' turn, not (for a change) Johnson! Though, of course, he's claiming credit.

It definitely says something when you realise IPSA was set up due to the MP's expenses scandal of 2009.
Sometimes I wonder whether IPSA members get a pay rise when MPs do!
