Why when I’ve sent a text message to a number I’ve sent to hundreds of times then tonight I get “message not delivered”

Maybe they're in an area with bad reception.

I sent 2 text messages to someone last year and they didnt deliver.The person out of the blue then contacted me and said they never got the messages???
However the reason became clear as when i checked their tel number in my directory, I had 1 digit incorrect. I had bought a new phone and tf all my contacts manually by hand.
When I rechecked the number, I realised I had the wrong number, but obviously the number I had belonged to someone because it went!!

Has your brother changed his phone or number or is his area maybe having signal issues...just a thought.

My sister lives in Midhurst - and her workphone occasionally has no signal.
Her personal one is fine.

I have had that message and subsequently found their inbox was full. However that was sometime ago maybe that doesn't happen with modern technology.

The only time my text says not delivered is when I'm sending one whilst in a tunnel!
