They went with songs to the battle, they were young,
Straight of limb, true of eye, steady and aglow.
They were staunch to the end against odds uncounted;
They fell with their faces to the foe.

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.

We will remember <3

We will remember, although sadly all the parades are cancelled.They are asking people to stand on their doorsteps at 11am for two minutes silence instead.

It has been impossible to buy any poppies this year, which is bad as the Royal Legion is going to be millions of pounds down in its fund raising

For you soared onwards to that world which rags
Of clouds, like tattered flags,
Concealed; you reached the walls of chrysolite,
The mansions white;
And losing all, you gained the civic crown
Of that eternal town,
Wherein you passed a rightful citizen
Of the bright commonwealth ablaze beyond our ken.

Remembering all the fallen and those who are still fighting. I also remember those like my Dad in the Fire Service who risked their lives to help and the nurses and doctors who picked up the pieces of lives,they are so easily forgotten.

Remembering my lovely grandad who served with the Black Watch. Wounded twice he returned to the trenches to fight on.

He was lucky returning home to Glasgow in 1919, his best friend unfortunately did not.

For all who have served our country past and present.

Don't forget all the others who fought for our freedom who were just as important.

Agincourt Crecy, Trafalgar, The Armada.

They fought for our freedom too.

Thinking now especially of my Mum, Dad, Grandad and Uncles who survived but have now gone to what I hope is 'content beyond content'.

None ever attended ceremonies or services but none ever forgot.
