Am just about to take a break for lunch and an update on the USA happenings. I feel sorry for the electorate there as they don't have an outstandingly-strong candidate.

Just such a shame that Biden did not step aside in favour of a younger male candidate in my opinion. If he had done so, I think the race would have been won by his party easily. Andrew Cuomo springs to mind - if not now, though, I think he's one to watch.

Yes, I've always just had a plastic rope line but it was quite thick in diameter but this one that's come today I would say is barely more than 2mm thick so I'm looking for something thicker.

Bright and not too cold here. My washing line broke yesterday so ordered one from Amazon. It came this morning and is so thin I don't think my pegs will stay on it. All the ones I've looked at seem the same. Why do they change things these days??

I've now got two loads of wet washing and nowhere to hang it :-(
