Judging from some of the people in Winchester yesterday - they took advanced stupidity!
What I want, is something like an umbrella that goes around my waist.
When Mr & Mrs and their friends, and dogs decide to walk abreast on the pavement, I flick a button and my waist umbrella flies open, this ensuring they get nowhere near me, and get poked, if they insist on behaving like they've got some kind of 'entitlement', that enables them to be unaware of everyone around them, and so self-absorbed that they think they can take up as much room as they like, as everyone else can go in the road :-D

But they are putting their silly selves at risk as well as everybody else.

Human stupidity is on the ascendency.

I can imagine the scene, Maggie.
I would think Winchester is a bit like Canterbury city centre, where we have ventured once in the last 6 months.
We couldn't believe how busy and unsafe it felt. We were there to meet up with my niece and sister-in-law, but decided that rather than sitting in or outside a cafe, we would buy individual bottled drinks and go and sit in a roomy park.
It was good to see them, but we were glad to leave the city.
It might be even worse now that the new university term has begun, so I won't be returning any time soon.

There were definitely students in the small Sainsbury's - shopping in groups of 3 or 4, wandering up and down aisles, picking something up, taking it to another one, 'Do you like this, Jemma' 'No' says Jemima, 'Is there a different brand?' Back she goes. Meanwhile No.3 comes right up to me and, if I hadn't backed off, would have breathed in my face as she reached for something. I mean, she shouldn't do that in 'normal' conditions, should she?
I'm only stood there because her pals are taking up the whole aisle, and I want one last thing before I leave. :-|
In the end, I just charged down the aisle, took what I wanted and got out!

They did - the shop is pretty strict about that.

Im fed up with hearing about people protesting in London against lockdown restrictions!! The students who are locked in their halls of residence in Glasgow or Dundee said they did go out and party but its the Governments fault for not telling them to stay indoors!! Good grief, I ask you.... And these are the generations of tommorrow..well heaven help us. They maybe in Uni but they havent a single ounce of common sense have they?

We are not allowed here to go into anyones elses house unless they are in your extended bubble such as an elderly relative yet a neighbour near me has her sister, youngish parents and others in and out all blooming day. I just dont get it.

Its not rocket science is it but some just carry on as normal.
And now we have 24 cases in the southern isles whtch is increasing daily. A huge worry as up til now only 8 cases have been here since march.

Im signed off again for a month and tbh quite glad i dont need to go out, scares me hugely.

What made me angry was up to last week shop keepers did not have to wear masks if they were behind the counter because they had the shield around the counter and they did not have the right to ask customers to wear one, thank God that has changed I have a small corner shop opposite me they have had one man come in over the weekend without a mask and tried to explain why he was not going to wear one lockley the boss was in and he calmed him down but people like that just make me so angry, my daught went down with the virus the day of the lockdown shes still got symptoms and hss to go for a ecg tomorrow to see if she has a enlarged heart she went back to work today for two hours shes a midwife but don't know if she will have to take more time off, this is what makes me so angry most people understand but a small minority think if they dont know anyone who's had it then it's a hoax I have not seen my daughter and her family since last christmas :-( :-(

His apology to the North East this week made me wonder about the state of his memory span.

An interesting question was put to him this afternoon. 'Why can I not sit in my parents' garden yet sit in the pub garden with five mates?'

A family member's daughter is 16 today.Her father has arranged for a party on sat at the house. There are 5 in the family household but she is having 6 friends plus dads friend who is coming with a marquee plus smoke machine, disco etc!!!

They have been told NO! this cant happen but they seem to think the "6" number means she can have 6 friends to the party...

Honestly they just dont get it. Once the music starts in the garden, I really hope someone will report them.

The father apparently said, they can do what they like, its noone elses business.

Give me strength, what is wrong with these people???

Unfortunately they will probably spread it far wider than just themselves. The other problem is if some of them ( or other idiots ) need hospital beds they could be depriving someone else who caught it 'innocently ' which doesn't seem fair on them or the NHS.
You can legislate against fools, but not b. fools !
