I always encouraged my children to write and thank people, who had sent a present and daughter did the same with her son.

But what to do with 'mystery' parcels?

Recently a parcel arrived here via Amazon addressed to my grandson.
He is working away, at the moment, stranded elsewhere in the UK by lockdown restrictions, but the sender probably thought that I would get it to him somehow, sometime.
As it was grandson's birthday, when it arrived, this didn't seem too odd.

Grandson asked us to open the parcel.
No note or indication who it was from, but there was a bottle of champagne.

Grandson hasn't lived here for over 12 years.
Sender knows initial of his middle name, but not the fact that grandson has been teetotal for several years.....?

If there's no way of finding out who sent it and your grandson is teetotal then I'd drink it yourself and say "cheers" to the mystery sender. It would be rude not too!!

The champagne has gone to......I know not where.
Daughter collected it, so it will be up to them what will happen to it.

I have an idea who might have sent it, but you can't really phone and ask can you?
Anyway, I don't have contact details

Well I hope whoever has the champagne enjoys it. somebody who knew him before he was t Total possible sent it. Would it have been a special birthday

Yes Ann,

I think it was someone who knows his full name and birthday, but he generally now only uses his first name, so that's what is leading my thoughts.

He is 25.... so not one of the usual 'big' birthdays, but a quarter of a century, I suppose.
