We just let our phone go to answerphone, we get quite a few calls where no message at all is left. |

You can also block a number if you hang up and immediately dial 1572 then option 1. BT told me this after we had had several unwanted calls claiming to be them and warning that our internet would be cut off at midnight if we didn't make immediate payment. |

We've had several calls recently saying that our Amazon Prime subscription needs renewing and telling us to press 1 to renew it. We don't have that anyway so just hang up, but I know someone who did just that and was asked for their bank details for the renewal. Luckily she was suspicious and hung up. We contacted Amazon who confirmed it was yet another scam. |
