You can be sure that the email address has been spoofed.

But often if you hover the cursor over the address it purports to come from it will show a different address in which case it is definitely dodgy.

But I don't think I have ever heard of a criminal being traced through an email address in any case.

Disgusting what people will do for money especially in the present climate.

Wonder if they can be traced via the email they sent?

A friend received a phone call last night from the NHS Track and Trace team to say that someone he had been in contact with had tested positive for the virus. They weren't allowed to give the person's name but urged our friend to be tested.
They asked for his email address to send him details of the procedure, which he gave. He then received an email back asking for his bank details so he replied asking why as he understood it was free. The reply was that the NHS were forced to charge £50 for a test as they were so overstretched by the current situation.
At this point he realised it was a scam and cut off all contact.
Aren't there some rotten people around?
