I had a phone call yesterday from a local number and a guy asked if he could speak to mr Michael Taylor

I said no you can’t . Why ? Isn’t he available.

Well Hardly because he passed nearly five years ago!

Turned out to be the optician who we both dealt with, and I still do , and he had been given a list of people to contact to say we are still here if you need us

Told him well I did inform them he had passed away so why hasn’t the system Noted this

And why try to contact him and not me !

A big !!!!! Up I think

Not a nice call to receive though even though I didn’t get upset , but someone else could if they had lost a relative more recently

Andysmum, we shifted to Australia thirty eight years ago so I'm sure that it's not genuine :-D :-D :-D

We are not eligible for them anymore.

At least they didn’t cut the tax credits ;-)

Because we have lost an income, we have applied for Universal Credit and Housing Benefit.

A letter came to say that, since we have applied for UC, we are no longer eligable for the nothing a month we have previously been paid in Tax Credits

I've had the email telling me its expiring, and to avoid going jail to follow their link and pay up...urgently

Are you sure it's genuine?

We have had several recently telling us that if we don't pay by tomorrow our licence will be cancelled. If we give them our Bank details all will be well!!

As we are still enjoying the free TV licence it is of course, nonsense, and all get deleted. :-) :-)

I wonder if they're working from home, and more efficient than in the office?

I have three email addresses, Maggie, two with my Internet Service and a Hotmail address.

I use the Hotmail one for all dealings which are not important such as this site, Ancestry FMP etc.

The TV licence one came through in the junk mail box of Hotmail, which box I must say contains some very interesting offers from young ladies who think that I must be God's gift to all women ;-)

What really irked me regarding the TV licence was that not once in thirty eight years have they ever sent a reminder :-D :-D

I received an email yesterday from whatever Department deals with TV licences.

Apparently, my UK TV licence has been cancelled for non-payment of fees :-S

It's only taken them thirty eight years to catch up with me :-D
