Tesco and Morrison's sell Child's Farm products which include a baby moisturiser, etc. I got some for my face as I began suffering with very dry skin, psoriasis and rosacea. It's very gentle and works for me. It's not specifically for faces but does what I need.

Bio Oil worked for me but it is an oil and not a cream. I fell onto a brick wall when I was 18 and yes I was sober. It left me with a scar of about 10cm or 4” in a v shape on my leg but it has faded amazingly.

it is also important to use a little gentle massaging of the scar tissue and surrounding area as you apply whichever lotion you decide to use to prevent it hardening and becoming uncomfortable later.

I learned that after 2 mastectomies left huge scars from breastbone round to my shoulder blade on each side. Movement became more restricted as the scar tissue tightened. A physiotherapist who specialised in the treatment of post-mastectomy patients showed me how to do it.

I found fragrance-free Aveeno Active Naturals Daily Moisturizer with natural colloidal oatmeal to be ideal for me.

Thankyou for all your suggestions. I have used Aveeno but I found it very heavy. I may just ring dr on mon ,ask her advice although the E45 sounds a good choice.

The hospital did say not to spray any perfume over the area and try to use a non perfumed soap or shower gel when washing. its healing but feeling it sore in places.

It may be an idea to phone your doctor for advice, Florence, as the scar area is involved.

as other people have said ,try Aveeno, I can get a big bottle once a month along with my Pills for diabetes, its very good ,

I'd go for E45 as well. Like Emma, we normally have it available.

Same here E45, always have it in the house.

Sue, the doctor recommended it when my daughter was injured more than thirty years ago. I always have some in now.

E45 was given to me by the hospital for dry skin and scars.

E45 would be my suggestion too. I think they do an E45 incorporating an itch cream now.

Castor oil.

I was prescribed a big pump container of E45 by the hospital to help ease things when I reacted badly to medication.

I think Aveeno moisteriser is great.It is light and not greasy.
