	Had some today me dear they were ansom jam first cream in top if your from cornwall and other way round if your from Devon I have mine jam first that's the only way <3

	:-D It doesn’t matter in the long run but Mr Owl likes playing devils advocate. He will argue a point of view he doesn’t agree with just because everyone else says the opposite.

	Scone, as in stone. First butter then I would put on jam then cream, but in the wider context what the h*ll does it matter. Once in the stomach it all becomes churned up any way. Just eat and enjoy, and both prepare your own scones in your own way ;-) OK, so I'd never make an 'Agony Aunt' although I would probably qualify as an 'Ugly Uncle' :-D :-D :-D

	To keep everyone happy I'd cut the scone in half ,on one half I'd put jam then cream , on the other half cream then jam :-D

	I've lived in both Cornwall and Devon, as a child - and learnt the hard way to do it 'proper', depending where I was. Dad's side were 100% Cornish, and that's the way I do it now - wherever I am! :-D :-D

For me it is cream last as it is very difficult to put the jam on top of the cream. As to pasties - as long as they taste nice I don't really care.

	Jam first, followed by a huge clump of cream - so big it dabs the tip of your nose if you use fingers to pick up and eat the scone. :-D There's a sight to sleep on. :-D :-D :-D

	I’m Cornish and Mr Owl is Devon. Mr Owl’s family are from Barton, Lincolnshire and Fauldhouse, West Lothian and mine are from St Just in Penwith, Cornwall and Glasgow. I’ve always preferred the Cornish way.
