Because OH is unable to ear for three months, I decided to apply for Housing Benefit but, on past experience, thought it was probably more appropriate to try Universal Credit this time.

After time enduring the frustration of trying just to set up a password, I gave up in frustration. There are a fair few things to organize at the moment and I just didn't want it.

I wonder how many other people are going without because the benefits system, which is meant for those who need help with life, is too difficult or frustrating to access.

Just like me, OH has about a year to go until he claims his pension and just as it was for me, that year is full of bloody obstacles! He is of an age when he had expected to claim his pension and, had that been the case, we would not be having many problems at all.

I never thought I'd say this - but I'm glad I claimed Universal Credit in February - just before the rush!
Boy, am I also glad I'm not working at the moment.
Apart from the fear of COVID-19, if I was working, I'd have to walk!
They've cut our bus service (one bus an hour from 07:30 to 18:15), to one every two and a half hours - first bus 09:50!!

We have absolutely no shops around here.
However, 3 bus routes, servicing other estates, all containing a huge supermarket, have had their services cut from every 10 or 15 minutes to one every half an hour - first bus 05:30!!

Surely hanging around town for 2 hours waiting for a bus home, is against Government advice?

Bet loads are happy they cant scanction people for not looking for work...…. :-D.but then maybe they will move the goalposts. :-P
