I have heard all sorts of ridiculous bits of advice on what to do or not do in the present situation but the following was sent to me today and does seem to contain a smidgen of common sense. |

If you can wash your hands or use sanitiser after touching anything someone else has touched it makes sense to do so, shopping trolleys and cash points etc. :-) |

Thanks Rose. I did wonder how they would know it was through handling the pumps, but it seems sensible to use gloves anyway. |

Vera, I went to the co op today, it will probably be my last 'outing' for the foreseeable future, and I stayed well away from anyone else in there except son, we also both used sanitiser after leaving the trolley and again after putting the bags in the car. Trying very hard not to get it or spread it! He has to get petrol in the morning so I will remind him to take care. |

I use my Himalayan salt pipe every day It might not do any good but it does no harm either which I would think would apply to the petrol pump advice. |

Let's be honest you can have the virus on your hands, you don't want to touch your face. |

What I do know is that using spectacles rather than contact lens would be preferable. |

It would be wise to delay that at present unless it was essential, David. |

I believe laser correction isn't suitable for everyone David. |

Laser correction isn't suitable for me because I have a complex prescription so I wear contacts but I'm sticking with glasses for now in case they offer extra protection. |

I've never been suitable for laser treatment as my sight is so bad. Ordered some new glasses last week. Over £400 - wonder what will happen with the prepaid order? |
