Here the province will be announcing extra penalties soon, but the city has brought in fines for disobeying social distance ............. $50,000 for businesses and up to $1,000 for individuals. |

We can see our park from the garden, have to say it has been very quiet today, normally it is alive with children on a day like today, empty of children at moment, just a few people walking about, hopefully parents will heed the advice. It is going to be a shame if the parks are closed because of the morons at the weekend. Our road is an access road & usually really busy with walkers cutting through to town, really quiet today. |

We went to our local lake early yesterday morning. OH sat in the car with his window down and a travel flask of coffee listening to Classic FM while I took the dog for a short walk. |

Elizabeth that is exactly what I thought the teenagers would come up with. They obviously don't listen to or watch any news bulletins or read nespapers. I am surprised though that it was not emphasized at schools. However, maybe it was, maybe they are too old for school or maybe they just didn't listen. |

I think some people will have to get out of the house to safeguard their mental health. |

Well, listened to a group of teenagers being interveiwed yesterday and one of them thought the "isolating of the over 70s" was to avoid them(the over 70s) infecting everyone else :-0 |

Seems as though that is what most of the country did at the weekend - spreading the virus into the rural areas. :-P |

Telephoned a close neighbour yesterday, mother in vunerable age group & daughter with health problems, they have'nt been out for a week, she said that they are going to make a flask, pack a picnic & take a couple of fold up chairs then drive somewhere into the country side where no one else is & soak up some sun. Said I thought it was a good idea just to get out of house for a while. |

I'm really not getting why people can't get it.....just keep away from others as much as possible the sooner you do that the quicker we can try and get a handle on this thing. Walking the dog today most people are doing just that we're all jumping aside or crossing the road...but there's still one or two that insist on walking right into you if you let them....I'm telling people I'm social distancing if they don't do it we need to educate everyone. |

My daughter, OH and son are in a 14 day quarantine after returning home for the US. They cannot go out shopping or for visits, but they are allowed to go out in the garden OR for walks as long as they can maintain the social distance of 2 metres from other people at all times. |

It is a sad & a serious situation when residents are fearful of leaving their home. |

I don't know if other people on here will think that I am stupid, but last Thursday afternoon I went for a walk in my local park. I saw very few people there, much less than usual. Of course the children were still at school, it also looked like it might start to rain, so perhaps that kept some people away. |

According to the DM (and I assume it is true), Borid J only shut out pubs etc when threatened by Macron the French boarders would be shut to UK if he didn't do it. |

I have just read on a local web site that somebody has just counted over 20 children playing on the equipment in the local park. I don't know if it is ignorance or not believing it will effect them. time we were put on lockdown I think. |
